I get the same message, in particular, when I check the box to make a parameter. One thing I noticed is when I check the box, I got the corresponding dataset, but not the corresponding report parameter. I manually created the report parameter and connected it to the dataset created by checking the parameter box and things worked.

Hi Mellisa,

My SSAS Query Log is configured correctly, but I have met another problem. I am using PerformancePoint Service Dashboard talking to SSAS cube. In sharePoint 2013 PeformancePoint dashboard data source, I configured "Per-user identity" without Kerberos. Somehow, I found the Query log did not capture current user's ideotity. the values of the column MSOLAP_User in the query log table are all null. Did I miss anything in the configuration?

Setting the SizeToReportContent to false on the report viewer allows the images to be consolidated into one image and the performance improves dramatically. This solved the issue for me.

Interestingly, this release of the Excel add-in lets you create a new entity - but not add the individual attributes.

This would seem then if a user wasn't using one of the hierarchies. Then the measures would be off. As you created duplicate records in the new fact table. IE. User slices by year for all products. Wouldn't that total include amount * number of hierarchies?

I've seen it handled primarily in the DW ETL using a recursive relationship. I am not familiar with your error, but it sounds like it might be a data quality issue rather than how it's set up in SSAS.
